Good food is a journey best shared with family and friends. Our Terrace Restaurant showcases a menu that reflects a celebration of Knysna’s rich culinary heritage. The restaurant operates for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and is under the stewardship of a well known local chef. Guests can eat in their rooms privately or frankly anywhere on the property they desire and packed meals can also be arranged for day excursions or picnics. Everything on the menu is good with regular specials and terrace ‘Braai’ evenings.

Our indigenous gardens at Amanzi, include two iconic locally protected milkwood trees that cast vital shade across the garden and part of the pool deck during the summer. Relax and unwind and enjoy the peace at the hotel, with a drink and a view of the beautiful lagoon, or book a spa session on the island or in your room. 

There is no shortage of fabulous activities to enjoy while staying at Amanzi Island. From a round of golf in a world class gold course, bungee jumping, sunset sailing and whale watching – the Garden Route has it all. The Amanzi shuttle is a big hit for guests wishing to arrive and depart by plane from Port Elizabeth, Plettenberg Bay or George as well as traveling to and from restaurants, shops and golf courses. Bespoke day trips can be created on request including boat trips, hikes, golf and mountain biking. Amanzi guests have free access to cruiser bicycles, kayaks, SUP’s and even a ‘Floatie’ for the kids.
