The Estate

Eva and Hermann Rudolph, both architects and owners of the Adara Boutique Hotel, which is situated in the city of Lindau at Lake Constance, discovered this wineland jewel as guests during a trip to Africa in 2012, acquiring the property in 2021. Since the end of 2021, the Estate has been undergoing extensive renovation. The Jacaranda House was built in 1754 and is the oldest building on the premises. The Estate reopened in November 2023 as an exquisite farm boutique hotel.

Alongside the four main historical buildings, the defining features of the Estate are the parkland with its magnificent trees, some of which are more than 200 years old, and the surrounding agricultural areas. The guava trees, which were originally imported from Madeira some 200 years ago, invite you to take a lovely stroll around the 16-hectare property. The ancient oak trees provide the perfect nesting spots for owls.

The Rooms

The Vineyard House - The lavish Palace Suite with a stunning 246 m² is truly something special. For more space or privacy, the Vineyard House can also be rented as a complete unit.

The Orchard House - Nestled amongst the guava orchards and vineyards, the Orchard House consists of 5 luxurious rooms and suites, including the exclusive Presidential Suite. All units have great mountain views.

The Jacaranda House - The original farmhouse from 1754 in typical Cape Dutch style with a thatched roof. This house comprises 3 rooms and our restaurant with conservatory.

The Mountain View House - Three luxurious suites and the reception desk. Each suite has a private garden with its own pool and lounge area. The suites consist of a kitchenette, a living area and a bedroom.

Green Concept

As a guest at Adara Palmiet Valley, you are surrounded by an unsurpassable natural spectacle. The sea of flowers on the jacaranda trees, the wild owls on site and the cheetahs from the neighbouring Cheetah Park immediately captivate you. Protecting the environment is very important to us. In order to ensure that our guests can still enjoy a high level of comfort, we have developed a comprehensive sustainability and building management concept. Our entire power supply is independent. This means that our guests enjoy unrestricted and continuous operation of the air conditioning and in-floor heating in the rooms. Our supply of fresh water is also completely independent. In the near future, our in-house shuttle service and all company vehicles will be fully electric and charged with zero emissions using solar power.

Wine & Dine

Our Adara wines comprise a full and exiting portfolio of six different wines: an excellent sparkling wine (MCC brut), a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, our flagship Chenin Blanc and various red wines, all rated 90 points or higher.

At Adara Restaurant, we pride ourselves on serving food that is high-quality, straightforward and has an international flair. The fresh, local produce makes it easy for us to celebrate Mediterranean cuisine. Immerse yourself in the true »Out of Africa« feeling when you take your lunch or dinner underneath the old oak trees in our beautiful park , where we offer our guests generous table spacing and a private ambiance.
